Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 March 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Brigid ("the Service", "we", "us", "our") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. Brigid is currently in beta and is operated as a personal project. These terms may be updated as the Service evolves.

2. Description of service

Brigid is a personal fitness data aggregation application that connects to third-party fitness services (such as Strava, Google Fit, Garmin and Hevy), consolidates your workout and health data into a unified dashboard, and provides features including habit tracking, nutrition logging, personal records, AI-generated motivation and training reports.

3. Account registration

To use Brigid you must create an account using a supported sign-in method (currently Google). You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information during sign-up.
  • Keeping your account credentials secure.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Subscription plans

Brigid offers two subscription tiers:

Free

All integrations available. Data is limited to your most recent 30 days of activity. Personal records and historical reports are not included on the free plan.

Pro Paid

Full all-time data history, personal records, expandable section views, weekly training reports (PDF and Excel) and all future Pro features.

We reserve the right to adjust plan features and pricing with reasonable notice. Existing subscribers will be notified of material changes before they take effect.

5. Payments and billing

Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis via Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By subscribing to a paid plan you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

  • Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and your account will revert to the Free plan.
  • We are not responsible for charges applied by your bank or card issuer.
  • All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Transmit any malicious code, viruses or harmful data.
  • Use the Service to store or transmit data that belongs to others without authorisation.
  • Resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service without our express written permission.

7. Your data

You retain ownership of all fitness and health data you bring into Brigid. We do not claim any ownership rights over your personal data. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. For full details of how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-party services

Brigid integrates with third-party platforms including Strava, Google Fit, Garmin, Hevy, Anthropic and Stripe. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy or conduct of any third-party service. Disconnecting an integration within Brigid does not automatically terminate your relationship with that third-party provider.

9. Intellectual property

The Brigid application, including its design, code, branding and content (excluding your personal data), is owned by Brigid and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos or brand features without prior written consent.

10. Beta disclaimer

Brigid is currently in beta. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that data will never be lost. We strongly encourage you to maintain your own records of important fitness data. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime or significant issues.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brigid shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the account settings page. On deletion, all your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach. If your account is terminated by us without cause, we will provide a pro-rata refund of any prepaid subscription fees.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We will notify you of material changes via the email associated with your account or by posting a notice within the app. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Contact

For any questions about these terms, please contact us via the Brigid GitHub repository or raise an issue. As this is a beta product, we aim to respond within 7 working days.
